Easter Sunday 2008

Easter was very nice this year.  The weather was wonderful so we were able to have the egg hunts out side.  The kids had so much fun running around the backyard looking for eggs.  Jack was cute...he only wanted the blue eggs so any other egg he found he gave to Olivia.  It was sweet. Olivia also helped Jack find more eggs...she's such a wonderful big sister!  Jack loved his Spiderman and Superman baskets and Olivia adored her Ballerina and Yellow Floral Baskets. We all really had a nice Easter Day.  It started with the egg hunt in our backyard, then a nice breakfast at our house.  Grandma and Papa Toe came over to eat with us.  It was delicious if I say so myself.  Then later on we headed to Portsmouth to Grammy and Papa Coffey's house where there was another egg hunt.  It was fun.  Then a yummy dinner made by Grammy followed by delicious desserts!

I am not sure if I have enough Webkinz!

2nd Annual Egg Decorating Party

Melanie, Steve, Cole & Connor Morris hosted the 2nd Annual Egg Decorating Party at their home on March 22nd.  The children had so much fun coloring over 200 eggs.  Melanie definitely outdid herself this year!  She will be eating egg salad for quite some time I am certain!  Here are some pictures of the kids having fun decorating their eggs and a group shot of everyone who attended.  It was an absolutely wonderful time!  The weather was fabulous too!

Jack makes a new friend!

Jack has only a few boys that are his friends his own age.  He has his buddy Jackson at Ms. Terri's (not pictured) and his new buddy Zane.  He is very possessive of his buddies.  They are his boys as he calls them; his buddies and no one else's.  He is so cute when he speaks about them.  It's like he's known them his whole life!
These are pictures of Zane and Jack on their first play date.  Here they are pictured making funny/silly faces.  I couldn't ask for a better little friend for Jack.  Thanks Zane for being you!

Winter Fun at The Coffey Grounds in Maine

Olivia & Jack absolutely love the snow!  Luckily, we are able to visit my parents house in Maine.  Maine got a ton of snow this winter, in fact there is still 30 inches of the powder up there now.  These are just a few fun snowy pictures of the kids on the frozen lake.  Daddy, Olivia and Jack walked back from Church across the lake.  They loved it!

Our Fur Children

Bella is our Tri Black Aussie and Toby is our Tri Red Australian Shepherd.  They were both born on October 25, 2007.  We adopted Bella first and she came to live with us on December 21st.  After much thought, we decided it would be nice for her to have a fur brother/friend to play with so we adopted her litter mate/brother in January.  They are certainly a handful, but we wouldn't trade them in for anything.  They have brought us so much joy, we couldn't imagine life without them.  Olivia and Jack are so in love with them.  Olivia a little more than Jack.  She is so good to them and loves them more than we thought was possible.  It's such a wonderful thing to witness.

Aren't these pups cute?

Isn't this a nice picture of Eric and his mom?  I love this one!  This was taken in NY at a park in Ronkonkoma.  We actually went there to try to get a family picture with Jessica, but Maddie decided she didn't want to take part.  We will continue to try to capture the DeGaetano side of the family altogether whenever we can!

Now, here's Eric and Olivia.  She is a little Daddy's Girl and he is so in love with his daughter.  They are two peas in a pod for sure!  She is so much like him!  From the little annoying phrases she rambles on and on and on...to trying to get under my skin on purpose to singing all the time.  I only hope she grows out of it, or Jack and I might have to invest in ear plugs (not because she doesn't sing beautifully, just to have some peace and quiet).

Olivia's 5th Birthday

Olivia turned 5!  Here she is showing off her party dress!  Isn't she so big?  I still can't believe she is 5!  It really seems like it was yesterday when she was born.    She had a Craft B'day party at Wonder Junction.  It was a blast.  She loved having all her friends there.  Especially Tyler, Hannah and Ava.  They mean the world to her.  She is so lucky to have such wonderful friends at such a young age.  I only hope these friendships grow and grow and continue for her whole life.

Our beautiful children

I know they are our children, but aren't they absolutely gorgeous?  I still can't believe we have managed to produce such sweet, intelligent, fun-loving children.  How did we get so lucky?  I have been taking a lot of pictures of our children as of late so I would like to share a few with you now!  As my children like to say, "PRESENTING...Olivia Katherine & Jack DeGaetano!"

Also, I added a picture of Olivia and the young prince she has declared she will marry, Tyler McCord.  We couldn't be happier.  Time will tell!

Our First Blog

Hello everyone!  Welcome to our family blog.  We thought it was time to begin documenting various occasions in our lives to share with our friends and family.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we are enjoying putting it together!
