March Snack Day

Olivia's Snack Day Creation:  Rice Crispy Birds Nests w/green coconut, jelly beans, chick peeps and gummy worms...so cute and sooooooo easy!

Jack had snack day last week and we made Cherry Blossoms and Suns.  The cherry blossoms were made out of pretzel rods, popcorn, frosting and cherry yellow mix.  The suns were made out of biscuits and apple jelly.  When I get a chance again, I will make them and take pictures.  Unfortunately I didn't think to use my Mac Photo booth and my lens is being repaired.  Next time!

BFF Weekend in NYC

March 15, 2009 was the beginning of our BFF weekend.  Olivia & Hannah and Me & Cheryl.  We headed to NYC to celebrate the girls 6th birthday's by treating them to a day at The American Girl Place Store.  Before we did that, we headed to the Empire State Building, Toys R Us, Mars 2112 and of course Rockefellar Center to watch the skaters.  We then took a cab ride back to our hotel, The Courtyard Marriott on 5th Avenue.  The girls thought that was just so exciting!  They loved it.

Once we got back to the hotel we all got snuggled up in our jammies and we told funny stories.  Boy, who knew Auntie Cheryl had so many funny ones!  We were laughing our heads off until 10pm when we finally had to separate the girls (or maybe they had to separate us)...we will never know!
The next morning we headed downstairs and had a scrumptious breakfast...buffet style!  It was sooo yummy!  BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next, the best part of the trip:  American Girl Place

Hannah fell in love with a Just Like You doll and she named her Jessica.
Olivia fell in love with Chrissa, the American Girl Doll of the year, 2009.
Tea (aka Lunch) at the American Girl Cafe with the dolls...it was great!

Yes, you aren't seeing things, Olivia is wearing the matching dress!!!
Isn't Jessica so pretty?
and so is Chrissa!
We sang "Happy Birthday" to the girls and they got to blow out a candle on their desserts, which by the way were absolutely delicious!
Here they are:
BFF's forever!

and our final cab ride, this time with our dolls!
We certainly know how to stimulate the economy and we loved every minute of it!
Thank you NYC....we will definitely be back, you can count on that!!!!

Charlotte is 3 months old

These are Charlotte's piggy toes on her 3 month birthday.  I can hardly believe Charlie is 3 months old.  It feels like just yesterday that Eric and I were bringing her home from the hospital.  She is so much fun and an integral part of our family. I can't seem to remember our family without her.  She smiles, coos, and chats with us often.  She loves her sister and brother and even tolerates the dogs.  He favorite baby contraption currently is her papasan swing.  Life is wonderful as long as it is swinging and fast I might add with the lullabies cranking.  She also enjoys her mobile.  It's very neat.  It entertains her too much that she doesn't go to sleep until I shut it off.  So I only let her have it for about 15 minutes before saying goodnight.  I guess she's like her daddy in that regard.  She is recognizing voices; distinguishing one from the other.  I love that she turns her head to listen to certain people.  She loves to talk and be talked to.  Her smile lets you know it and the intonations of her cooing are just so adorable.  Charlotte doesn't really care for her car seat or the car for that matter, but we're working on desensitizing her to both.  Charlotte is so endearing and irresistible it's insane.  I love her as much as I do Olivia and Jack and I never thought it was possible to love more than 1 child.  I really love them equally. Life wouldn't be the same without them.  Our life is complete as a family of 5!

The following are a few of her 3 month pictures taken on March 11, 2009.  She is super cute!
