Brenton Point Picnic

Daddy, Olivia, Jack, Auntie Regina and Auntie Alexa and I went to Newport for a picnic.  We headed to Ocean Drive and planted ourselves on Brenton Point Park.  We packed all the typical picnic foods and drinks and enjoyed our time together.  The weather was perfect.  It was really neat to fly kites with the kids.  Jack and Olivia absolutely LOVED it!  They were even better than Auntie Alexa and Daddy, as you will see in the pictures.  It was a great evening.  After our kite flying we headed across the street to the water to look for creatures and shells.  Daddy found a Sea Star and everyone was so excited.  Auntie Alexa picked it up and Olivia loved being able to hold it.  Jack just wanted to take his crocs off and join Auntie in the water.  Auntie Regina was observing, as was I, with the hounds.  Tucker and Scout also enjoyed the evening.  Scout was trying to be a big shot by barking at other dogs.  Auntie Regina said it was the first time she's heard him bark in public.  Tucker, of course, has no problem letting people or dogs now he is around.

Jack flying his kite real high:

Olivia flying her kite high too:

This is Jack singing 'Breaking Free', a song from High School Musical.  He is using a microphone. He and Olivia absolutely love singing the songs from the movie and it's even better with the microphone.  They even had to bring it with them on our outing.

...Looking for more sea creatures...

We had such a great time we decided that we would try to make it a weekly outing.  As long as we are free of plans, we will try to get together at the Point on Ocean Drive each week...or at least every other week.  We had such a great day!
